Viewing the democratic party as it currently stands, there is one driving force that represents the party. He is the face of the party and determines the overall policy direction necessary to achieve the goals he wants to achieve. He is not the spokesperson of the party and does not utilize the “bully pulpit” of the Presidency. He has underlings in place in the Congress, the bureaucratic agency leadership, the staff and advisory managers in the White House and the elite donor-ship class from Hollywood. No major action is taken regarding party politics, government intervention or societal changes without his approval. Rarely is his influence written or spoken about in the media. This protects his image and avoids any damage to his coveted reputation. His word is utilized internally, within the party conference . It can create or destroy an elected official in a snap. A vote supporting the agenda can mean significant additions to a campaign coffer, whereas, a wrong vote will eliminate any funding support and generate a label of “persona non grata”. He is the Power. He is Barack Obama.
It appears that Obama has made the decision that the current puppet sitting in the President’s chair has run its course. Too many tangled worn out strings have reduced the effectiveness of his stage performance. He has been on stage too long. It is time for a new & fresh puppet face to bring life back to an energetic performance that is necessary to continue the act. No more weak kneed bumbling stumbles in public view. What’s needed is someone with fresh paint, strong strings and a strong jaw that will not mumble his way on stage. It is not clear who the new puppet will be. My guess, it will be a DEI hire rather than a hire based on ability and merit. Those days are over for Obama. He’s in control.
Putting away Biden on the shelf in Delaware is a tough call. He has been around for a long time and been a loyal democratic acolyte. He won’t leave the stage without a fight. Obama and his surrogates are currently working hard to negotiate a deal with Biden. What will it take for Biden to retire. It will more than likely result in a glorification of his years in service with awards and extravaganzas galore, considerable financial incentives for not only Joe but his family as well and probably some super-secret promises of executive clemency, pardons or commutations if necessary down the road. Obama will do what’s necessary, after all, its not his money and ethics are an anathema.
There have been times in Presidential history where Presidents have been incompetent, ineffective, or incapacitated. But they, for the most part, completed their terms and were never to return. We haven’t experienced a negotiated removal of a President. Especially by a former President who actually put the current President on stage. Power corrupts; absolute Power corrupts absolutely.
